Fade Out By: Rachel Caine

Publication Date: November 2009

Synopsis

Without the evil vampire Bishop ruling over the town of Morganville, the resident vampires have made major concessions to the human population. With their new found freedoms, ...

My thoughts:
All I can say about the Kim situation is KARMA> When you dish it you get it back 10 times worse...
I can't believe Kim would befriend someone so mental and why was Claire the only one to notice there was something wrong with her. And she was filming half the town without anyone noticing!
The whole situation with Ada makes me nervous about what could happen to the gang especially Claire because she's jealous of her.
I've had enough of Oliver and Monica.....Can we get rid of them already!
Do you feel like Claire had a right to be jealous of Kim?Truthfully most girls would be...but really she doesn't need to worry Shane's a great guy who loves her. And hopefully they will be together forever!
And I hope Michael get to pursue his music opportunity.

Carpe Corpus By: Rachel Caine

Publication Date: June 2009

Synopsis

In the small college town of Morganville, an underground resistance to evil vampire Bishop is brewing, and in order to contain it, Bishop must go to even greater lengths. He ...

My thoughts:
OMG>>>>>> Chaos. Bishop is gone...yeah. The town is safe...or is it?
Frank Collin is a Vampire!!!!!!
Claire and Shane finally get together....if you know what I mean. And can I just say way to go.
I really can't keep up with whose the traitor....Myrnin, Oliver, or Jason...we just have to wait and see.
The Vamps have been having Free regain to kill whoever, and whenever. the town needs to stop it.
Sheriff  Hannah gets all the important people out of town that includes loved one of the Glass gang. And thank you to Hannah who stood up to Claire's parents...someone needed to do that.
I know Claire's not an adult yet, but she been having to make grown up decision all year. ...And i think now is the time to just let her be a grown up...Look she's helping save the town...hello.
After the storm of helping the town. Dean shows his true colors....by kidnapping Claire and trying to drain her blood, but not by drinking it. But Frank comes and takes Dean away, which saves Claire. And I impressed I thought he was pure evil. Although I'm sure we haven't heard the last from him or Dean (unless Frank kills him).

P.S. I'm glad the officer chose not to kill Eve!

Lord of Misrule

Publication Date:January 2009

Synopsis

In the college town of Morganville, vampires and humans have coexisted in (relatively) bloodless harmony...until the arrival of Bishop, a master vampire who threatens to put ...

My thoughts:
I just have to say...has everyone gone mad!!!!! They are killing everyone off. And that includes Oliver (but not really). Amelie needs to step up and get control of everything instead of letting her father continue this craziness.
Michael's in a trance and Claire seems to be also!
Shane's dad is back in town.
Monica's missing, her dad is dead, her brother injured and her mom is crazy......Karma.
i don't even understand how the glass house gang can stick together with everyone getting lost or abducted and that's only after they got Shane out of Jail and figured out that Michael is still on their side....and now Frank is a vampire...ugh.
Myrnin, let see, to me he is dead. He betrayed Claire....really dude...She's done everything for him and yet he keeps on disappointing her.
And the tornado that blows through town is wild. How could they survive.
Guess who gets bitten Eve or Claire?

Feast of Fools by:Rachel Caine

Publication Date: June 2008

Synopsis: In Claire's fourth Morganville Vampires novel, the arrival of an old-school vampire to Claire Danvers' college town threatens the relative harmony that exists between the living and the dead.

My thoughts: More Drama for CLaire... can you believe it... of course you can!
With Mr. Bishop (Amelie's dad) in town, death is upon them all. Amelie gets hurt and Myrnin is still crazy if not crazier...if you can imagine. I'm curious whose going to save them. Could be Michael, Sam, or Oliver! Who knows? Francois and Ysandre are more evil than Jason and Oliver put together.
It is amazing how strong these humans are in this book. Standing up against the evil vampire in town. That strength that so far the gang has use to throw people out of their house and to fight against the evil that is tearing the town apart. And their willingness to stay together, even when each of them are shown at their worst (including Michael), shows that friendships can survive anything if you try hard enough.
And trust me with what is yet to come...I'm sure they need to stay strong.

Midnight Alley by: Rachel Caine

Publication Date: October 1, 2007

Description: Claire Danvers' college town may be run by vampires but a truce between the living and the undead has made things relatively safe - for a while. Now people are turning up dead, a psycho is stalking Claire, and a ancient bloodsucker has proposed a private mentoring.

My thoughts: It has been a while since I first stepped into Claire's world. I was very interested to see what kind of chaos her and the gang could be getting into now.
I'm really tired of Oliver and Jason will someone just get rid of them already.
Myrnin is like the crazy old uncle you don't tell anyone about, but you feel bad for them because they just can't help how they behave.
Eve and Michael's relationship is amazing to me because most people would give up due to all the secrets Michael has kept from Eve and the rest of the gang. And it makes me a little curious what else he could be hiding.
Shane, I love his kick butt way of dealing with everything. And they way her cares for Claire is so sweet. Even though all or most of everything that has happened is because of her.
I would love to reach through the pages of the book and slap Monica and her friends. She does get a taste of what she deserve in this book, which is refreshing...lol.
And I just have to say the surprise that Claire gets at the end of the book is gets...not for her but for me...it keeps things hopping....

Beautiful Creatures

Publication Date: October 2010
Publisher: Little, brown books for Young Readers

According to Barnes and Noble

There were no surprises in GatlinCounty
We were pretty much the epicenter of the middle of nowhere.

At least, that's what I thought.
Turns out, I couldn't have been more wrong.
There was a curse.
There was a girl.
And in the end, there was a grave.
Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power, and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.
Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.
In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

My Thoughts: I enjoyed this book....just the surprise around every corner..Ethan is probably feeling a lot like I did when I lived in Tennessee. Alone, without being alone. Sure he has his friends in the beginning, plus his dad and housekeeper. But soon everything changed, Lena comes to town and the girl from his dreams (literally) is here! He quits sport and loses his friends to spend time helping Lena figure out whats going on with them. And to do all of this he skips school or cuts class, which of course drives everyone to all sorts of crazy ideas about them.
Lena has these incredible powers that are out of control....she learns later that she has to chose Light  or Dark. Yet the whole time her uncle tells her that she will not get to chose it choses you. And she's afraid she will be dark, and no one really wants to be on the dark side. She lost her cousin/best-friend to the dark side and she doesn't want to go there. But then the mother she thought was dead shows up and tries to tempt Lena to her side...the dark. In the end Lena loses someone she loves dearly and choses a side....I will let you see which side she choses........LOL

Halo by:Alexandra Adornetto

Publication Date: August 31, 2010

Description by Borders: Three angels, Gabriel (the warrior), Ivy (the healer), and Bethany ( a teenage girl who is very inexperienced) are sent down to bring good to the world. Bethany is the most human of the three, and when she is romantically drawn to a mortal boy, the angels fear she will not be strong enough to save anyone especially herself from the Dark Forces. Is love a great enough power against evil?

My Thoughts: This book is great..... it has love and it has adventure.
Gabriel is everything you want angel to be strong, yet gentle all at the same time.
Ivy is truly an angelic person who heals and loves. And I just want to know can she be my sister also! She make clothes for her family she keeps house, does the shopping and volunteers her time. And not once did she complain about being to busy. hum (get the hint Mandy and Sarah).....Bethany is a struggling angel and I completely understand. You go from heaven with no detractions to earth with every distraction, and have to staying control of yourself, in order to rid the world of evil, its difficult. Well then you add on the boyfriend, who is an angel his self (not really) but he stand by her side through everything....although there was a slight moment where Jake "satan" kissed her, but most guys would do the same I have to say. And it's has to be hard to know deep down that you can't get to involved because one day she will go back to heaven and he will be left behind. She'll be crushed, I'll be crushed....
