The Pledge by: Kimberly Derting

Publication Date: November 2011

Overview: In the violent country of Ludania, the language you speak determines what class you are, and there are harsh punishments if you forget your place—looking a member of a higher class in the eye can result in immediate execution. Seventeen-year-old Charlaina (Charlie for short) can understand all languages, a dangerous ability she’s been hiding her whole life. Her only place of release is the drug-filled underground club scene, where people go to shake off the oppressive rules of the world they live in. There, she meets a beautiful and mysterious boy who speaks a language she’s never heard, and her secret is almost exposed. Through a series of violent upheavals, it becomes clear that Charlie herself is the key to forcing out the oppressive power structure of her kingdom….

My thoughts: Charlie and her friends live in a world full of rules. You can only speak the language of your rank and go to school with kids of the dame rank.
Charlie hide a secret...she can understand all languages that is not aloud. If anyone were to find out she'd be dead! But it's no surprise because of who she is meant to be.
Together with the prince they must defeat the queen and set everyone free from rules and war. Can they do it or will they lose and lose all that they love!

Succubus on Top By: Richelle Mead

Publication Date: August 2011

Overview: Love hurts, and no one knows it better than Georgina Kincaid. If she so much as kisses Seth Mortensen, the shy, sexy writer she's been dating, she'll drain his life force. Admittedly, the shape shifting and immortality perks of a succubus are terrific, but it's completely unfair that a she-demon whose purpose is seduction can't get down with the one mortal who accepts her for who she is. . .
It's not just her personal life that's in chaos. Doug, Georgina's co-worker at a local bookstore, has been exhibiting bizarre behavior, and Georgina suspects something far more demonic than double espressos. She could use an assist from Bastien, an irresistibly charming incubus and her best immortal friend, but he's giving Georgina some highly distracting come-hither vibes. Georgina is going to have to work solo on this one—and fast, because soon, Doug's life won't be the only one on the line. . .

My thoughts: She's back and yes with Seth. In this book she has to deal with her human friends being drugged and finding out what evil is behind it. Finding this drug Lord is harder then one would think. But to find out that he is immortal as well, that is rough!
She has to try and save her finds from him and prevent him from doing anymore damage!
Her old friend, Bastien is back and trying to find out some evil going on with the rich. He doesn't figure it out alone Georgina comes to the rescue and figures it all out.

Succubus Blues by:Richelle Mead

Publication Date: August 2010

Overview:Succubus (n.) An alluring, shape-shifting demon who seduces and pleasures mortal men. Pathetic (adj.) A succubus with great shoes and no social life. See: Georgina Kincaid.
When it comes to jobs in hell, being a succubus seems pretty glamorous. A girl can be anything she wants, the wardrobe is killer, and mortal men will do anything just for a touch. Granted, they often pay with their souls, but why get technical?
But Seattle succubus Georgina Kincaid's life is far less exotic. Her boss is a middle-management demon with a thing for John Cusack movies. Her immortal best friends haven't stopped teasing her about the time she shape-shifted into the Demon Goddess getup complete with whip and wings. And she can't have a decent date without sucking away part of the guy's life. At least there's her day job at a local bookstore—free books; all the white chocolate mochas she can drink; and easy access to bestselling, sexy writer, Seth Mortensen, aka He Whom She Would Give Anything to Touch but Can't.
But dreaming about Seth will have to wait. Something wicked is at work in Seattle's demon underground. And for once, all of her hot charms and drop-dead one-liners won't help because Georgina's about to discover there are some creatures out there that both heaven and hell want to deny. . .

My thoughts: I have been a fan of Richelle's since I first found Vampire Academy at Target all those years ago. I saw this book at the library and decided to pick it up and give it a try as well. I loved it. I don't recommend this series for younger teens due to the sex and stuff but really you should pick it up and try it as well.
Anyway, Georgina's steals souls...usually of perverts...she works for good not evil. Which really these days is hard to come by. She was once is love and married and made mistakes and lost her husband and chose to become what she is. Now she helps get rid of the evil in the world.
Someone is out to get her and her friends.....she doesn't realize who until it is almost ot late. Unluckily for her it is someone she has been dating. But lucky for her it isn't the one she really wants.

Cryer's Cross by: Lisa McMan

Publication date: February 2011

Overview: Kendall loves her life in small town Cryer's Cross, Montana, but she also longs for something more. She knows the chances of going to school in New York are small, but she's not the type to give up easily. Even though it will mean leaving Nico, the world's sweetest boyfriend, behind.
But when Cryer's Cross is rocked by unspeakable tragedy, Kendall shoves her dreams aside and focuses on just one goal: help find her missing friends. Even if it means spending time with the one boy she shouldn't get close to... the one boy who makes her question everything she feels for Nico.
Determined to help and to stay true to the boy she's always loved, Kendall keeps up the search—and stumbles upon some frightening local history. She knows she can't stop digging, but Kendall is about to find out just how far the townspeople will go to keep their secrets buried....

My thoughts: Living you senior year in a small town is hard. I know this becuase I did. Kendall has it worse off then I did. Her whole high school is held in one room. talk about cramped! The year before a girl goes missing and i never found. They don't know if she's dead or if she just runaway. They think things are in the past but when Kendall's bf(bff) goes missing too, she knows something is wrong. she mourns him and barely can function and I don't blame her. I think I would just give up all together if something like this happened to my bf or bff. The new boy is suspect yet again, but at the same time he's the only one who understands her and helps her.
In the end she figures things out, but while putting herself in danger and does the new prince charming save her? I'm not telling :)
