Succubus Dreams by: Richelle Mead

Publication Date: October 2008

Overview: Some days, a girl just can't catch a break. . .
. . .especially when the girl in question is Georgina Kincaid, a shape-shifting succubus who gets her energy from seducing men. First there's her relationship with gorgeous bestselling writer Seth Mortensen, which is unsatisfying on a number of levels. It's not just that they can't have sex in case Georgina inadvertently kills him (generally a turn-off for most guys). Lately, even spending time together is a challenge. Seth's obsessed with finishing his latest novel, and Georgina's under demonic orders to mentor the new (and surprisingly inept) succubus on the block.
Then there are the dreams. Someone, or something, is preying on Georgina at night, draining her energy, and supplying eerie visions of her future. Georgina seeks answers from Dante, a dream interpreter with ties to the underworld, but his flirtatious charm only leaves her more confused—especially as the situation with Seth reaches crisis point. Now Georgina faces a double challenge—rein in her out-of-control love life, and go toe-to-toe with an enemy capable of wreaking serious havoc among mankind. Otherwise, Georgina, and the entire mortal world, may never sleep easy again. . .

My thoughts: Georgina is back and is dealing with Donte, a bad physic and Nyx who is festering all her energy, dreams, and time.
Niphon and Tawny released Nyx to get Georgia because Nip screwed up her contract. And by doing that there is a loophole for Georgina.
Meanwhile Georgina is coaching Maddie to help her get a date, but I'm sure she didn't think Maddie would steal away her man. And I can't believe she let him go so easily. I would have fought hard. I read about her fighting harder for other things. I know it's frustrating not being able to actually physically be with him, but really fight......sometimes it worth it.

My thoughts: Wendy goes to her father and works something out...an agreement of sorts. And it's temporary.
And she married Tove! She's in love with Loki and getting over Finn, which I imagine is hard to do considering he is back at the castle.
She is also training hard with Tove to learn how to use her powers against evil, and learning more about her heritage to take her mother's place. oh, and let's not forget trying to find a way to kill her father.
Before her mother dies she paints the future and it's ugly and not something anyone wants....everyone is frightened and are trying to find a way out.
In the end her parents are both dead and she is married, but not to Tove.

Desires of the Dead by:Kimberly Derting

Publication Date: February 2011

Overview: The missing dead call to Violet. They want to be found.
Violet can sense the echoes of those who've been murdered—and the matching imprint that clings to their killers. Only those closest to her know what she is capable of, but when she discovers the body of a young boy she also draws the attention of the FBI, threatening her entire way of life.
As Violet works to keep her morbid ability a secret, she unwittingly becomes the object of a dangerous obsession. Normally she'd turn to her best friend, Jay, except now that they are officially a couple, the rules of their relationship seem to have changed. And with Jay spending more and more time with his new friend Mike, Violet is left with too much time on her hands as she wonders where things went wrong. But when she fills the void by digging into Mike's tragic family history, she stumbles upon a dark truth that could put everyone in danger.

My thoughts: Violet and Jay are back and this time Violet is keeping things to herself. I almost can't blame her, but then I would want to be safe. Everything that happens to her she hides from everyone: The threatening letter, the dead animal, strange phone calls, and finding a lost dead boy.
Let's not forget the FBI, who know she found the boy and are trying to figure out how she found them. I think  they want her help, but she is frightened of anyone knowing the truth.
Because she keeps everything in and doesn't share, it all come between her a Jay's relationship and they break up, but only after being intimate.
She finally realizes that she has to lend a hand to the FBI and in the end it helps the new family in town. And her and Jay find themselves back together again...YAY

Overview: Destiny awaits Bianca and Lucas . . .
Bianca and Lucas have always believed they could endure anything to be together. When a twist of fate not only transforms Bianca into a wraith but also turns Lucas into a vampire—the very creature he spent his life hunting—they are left reeling.
Haunted by his powerful need to kill, Lucas can turn to only one place for help . . . Evernight Academy. Bianca is determined to remain with him. But with the vampire leader of Evernight waging a war against wraiths, her former home has become the most dangerous place she could be, despite the new powers her ghostly transformation has given her.
A battle between wraiths and vampires looms, and Bianca and Lucas face a terrifying new reality. They've overcome every obstacle life has thrown at them, but is their love strong enough to survive the challenges after life?

My thoughts: Bianca and Lucas are on the run and they have met up with several friends who help. One who loans them his home, one gives them blood, and one who stand beside them and fights. They get jobs, one gets fired. Then the most awful part one dies, the other dies again!
Lucas is devastated having to deal with the lose of Bianca, but what he doesn't realize is now she is wraith, that happened because she has always been part wraith
He goes back to school, mainly because he doesn't know what else to do with himself, especially now. They let him in, which kinda surprised me at first the Mrs. Bethany and Bianca's parents would let that happen, but they did.
Everything comes sown to one big fight in the end, one to save vampires and wraith's. There was a sacrifice made, a sweet one. And big death, and then the surprise to me....someone becomes human again.

Clare is seeing someone around town! Someone who seems wrong and may in fact be wrong!

In this installment of the sumptuously romantic Full Moon series, Celeste faces her fears and her friends and finds out whether she’s strong enough to stand up for herself and her one true love.

My thoughts: Celeste and Brandon are fighting to hid the truth and the face the facts that the town doesn't want them to be together.
And not necessarily the town just Celeste's friends and Nash. Together they must face Brandon's dad, to see if he can help them figure out a clue!

Overview: A gripping tale of a girl with a morbid ability that could lead her to a killer . . . and the boy who would never let anything happen to her.
Sixteen-year-old Violet Ambrose is grappling with two major issues: Jay Heaton and her unusual so-called gift. While her confusing feelings for her best friend are new, she has been able to sense dead bodies—or at least those that have been murdered—and the imprints that attach to their killers since she was a little girl. Fiercely protective of her, Jay agrees to help Violet search for the murderer. But even as she's falling in love, Violet is getting closer to discovering a killer . . . and becoming his prey herself.

My thoughts: I loved this story, but of course i say that about most things. This for once is not about vampires and about people who do great for others.
Two best friends face love and losing each other.
Then girls disappear and Violet is the only one who can find them.
It takes hard work and being alone but Vi finds the bodies and the person responsible for their deaths.

Shatter Me by: Tahereh Mafi

Publication Date: November 2011

Overview: "You can't touch me," I whisper.
I'm lying, is what I don't tell him.
He can touch me, is what I'll never tell him.
But things happen when people touch me.
Strange things.
Bad things.
No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal, but The Reestablishment has plans for her. Plans to use her as a weapon.
But Juliette has plans of her own.
After a lifetime without freedom, she's finally discovering a strength to fight back for the very first time—and to find a future with the one boy she thought she'd lost forever.

My thoughts: I loved it!!!! It's says she can't touch anyone without killing. And what's worse is that she has killed before, a small child. She was trying to help him, save him and killed by accident.
But really to be able to kill your enemies, people would abuse that. I might abuse that. But not her, she fights against using that power, against killing. Even her enemies.
I'm glad Adam found her and he's on her side. Together they get help and find someone to get them to a safe place.
And the safe place is a place that will help them. By educating and showing them what other powers exist.

Overview: First there are nightmares. Then come the memories. Now she must hunt.
Ellie can’t shake the terrifying dreams about monstrous creatures that are hunting her, killing her. Then she meets Will and feels on the verge of remembering something just beyond her grasp. His attention is intense and romantic, and Ellie feels like her soul has known him for centuries. Her role is to hunt and kill the reapers that prey on human souls. In order to survive, she must also hunt for the secrets of her past lives, the dangerous and ancient battle of the angels and the Fallen, and truths that may be too frightening to remember.

My thoughts: I enjoyed this tale. Will is her protector but she has to remember it first. In the mean time I think she has fallen in love with him. But he must protector her evil and yet teach her to fight ans let her kill.
Ellie's dad is an evil, arrogant, butt hat. And I really think that I would have to beat him down if I were Will. i thin that should be his job as her protector. Stand up to the bully at home. And who knows maybe he has something to do with all the evil that is going on around her, anyway.
The trip to destroy becomes a trip that might end them all.
