Overview: FROM THE AUTHOR OF THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING NOVEL SHIVER"Vibrant and potent, YA readers searching for faerie stories will be happy to find this accomplished debut novel." –Publishers Weekly (starred review)"This beautiful and out-of-the-ordinary debut novel, with its authentic depiction of Celtic Faerie lore and dangerous forbidden love in a contemporary American setting, will appeal to readers of Nancy Werlin's Impossible and Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series." –Booklist (starred review)"Part adventure, part fantasy, and wholly riveting love story, Lament will delight nearly all audiences with its skillful blend of magic and ordinary life." —KLIATT (starred review)Sixteen-year-old Deirdre Monaghan is a painfully shy but prodigiously gifted musician. She's about to find out she's also a cloverhand—one who can see faeries. Deirdre finds herself infatuated with a mysterious boy who enters her ordinary suburban life, seemingly out of thin air. Trouble is, the enigmatic and gorgeous Luke turns out to be a gallowglass—a soulless faerie assassin. An equally hunky—and equally dangerous—dark faerie soldier named Aodhan is also stalking Deirdre. Sworn enemies, Luke and Aodhan each have a deadly assignment from the Faerie Queen. Namely, kill Deirdre before her music captures the attention of the Fae and threatens...

My thoughts: When I picked up this book I was Skeptical.Mainly because of the cover. But Maggie is such a great author I knew I had to give it a chance.
I have to say I was hooked, right away!
I wanted to know why Deirdre a harpist, suddenly met Luke. Out of the blue just cam into the bathroom and was helping her. Most guys hear someone throwing up and they think, eating disorder. But he came in and held her hair for her...How sweet and weird all at the same time.
He disappears and reappears all the time and he saves her many times from different things are attacking Dee.
I thought it was some Alice in Wonderland thing when Luke started talking to a rabbit...And I'm sure Dee was just as confused.
James, I love him..sounds so dreamy and loving.....He's that boy you never give a chance at love because he is your best friend. But you know they always turn out to be your true love match and I hope that's what happens between Dee and James.
It;s sad that her family is torn apart in this book. They really need to face facts and come together but they go against on another..losing one.

Not to worry, love is still in the air for the young vampires of the Upper East Side. Or is it? Jack and Schuyler are over. Oliver's brokenhearted. Young, fanged, and fabulous, Melissa de la Cruz's vampires unite in this highly anticipated fourth installment of the Blue Bloods series.

My thoughts: Well, what a bumpy ride! After being on the run for a year, Sky and Ollie have a failed attempt to get info and help. They end up running into Jack and Charles FOrce who save them.
Jack of course is not bonded with Mimi...yet!
Meanwhile, Mimi is with Kingsley trying to find  and save Jordan...Bliss' little sister. While they are doing this they are falling love...but Mimi is trying to fight it because she knows her fate is with Jack.
This is reversed with what should be with Jack and Sky, but they are trying to forget everything.

Bliss meanwhile is dealing with tons of drama, considering the devil himself is living inside her and her dad is part of the reason it has happened. THe devil is telling her what to do and how to do it...This is how Dylan got attacked.
In the end Bliss kills herself or so she thinks, to get rid of the devil and stop him from killing Sky. SHe actually only kill the devil and sets her self free from his evil controlling self.

Revelations by: Melissa de la Cruz

Publication Date: July 2009

OverviewHave you ever wondered what secrets lurk behind the closed doors of New York City s wealthiest families? They're powerful, they're famous... they're undead.
Schuyler Van Alen s blood legacy has just been called into question - is the young vampire in fact a Blue Blood, or is it the sinister Silver Blood that runs through her veins? As controversy swirls, Schuyler is left stranded in the Force household, trapped under the same roof as her cunning nemesis, Mimi Force, and her forbidden crush, Jack Force.
When one of the Gates of Hell is breached by Silver Bloods in Rio de Janeiro, however, the Blue Bloods will need Schuyler on their side. The stakes are high; the battle is bloody; and through it all, Carnavale rages on. And in the end, one vampire s secret identity will be exposed in a revelation that shocks everyone.

My thoughts: Dylan is back! And apparently Kingsley isn't evil? ALthough you couldn't prove it by me.
Sky and Jack are secretly dating and meeting up in a private place....hummmm. But Mimi knows!
The concave was sent to Rio to find and save Lawrence and Kingsley, whom they were told had been captured or worse. But they found that they were lured and most were killed. Including Lawrence and Dylan.
Sky, broke up with Jack even though she feels very strongly for him. And Jack and Mimi fought in the end only confirming their love for one another...or did they?
Turns out Jordan, Bliss' sister was sent to their family by cordelia and isn't evil  she's a watcher, meaning she can see that past and future before anyone else.
And the evil is inside Bliss......can she survive.

Infinity (Chronicles of Nick) by: Sherrilyn Kenyon

Publication Date: May 2010

Overview: At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough and savvy, his quick sarcasm is the stuff of legends. . .until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.
Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead.
But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he’s next on the menu.
As if starting high school isn't hard enough. . .now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that?

My Thoughts: It took me a while to get into this book and after I did. I'm still left unsure. First off this boy, Nick is a smart mouthed jerk. Seriously, how can anyone treat their mother the way he does. He never listens and is always in trouble. I understand that she isn't a role model anyone would want, considering she dances for money. But really he could treat her a lot better than he does.
Then Zombies begin, is all I can say anyway. One day he shows up to school and learns that one of the kids attacked another and tried to eat their brains out and then a teacher attacked a student.
Things in town get weirder when everyone stars turning into zombies and at first they think it's because of a video game but it turns out that they re all after Nick and they want him to do their evil bidding. Really gross if you ask me.
To save the day Nick and his friends use a charged cattle prod to turn the zombies they didn't kill back into normal people.....YAY
