Publication Date:
April 2012

Overview:
Belly has only ever been in love with two boys, both with the last name Fisher. And after being with Jeremiah for the last two years, she’s almost positive he is her soul mate. Almost. While Conrad has not gotten over the mistake of letting Belly go, Jeremiah has always known that Belly is the girl for him. So when Belly and Jeremiah decide to make things forever, Conrad realizes that it’s now or never—tell Belly he loves her, or lose her for good.
Belly will have to confront her feelings for Jeremiah and Conrad and face the inevitable: She will have to break one of their hearts.

My thoughts:
Belly and Jermiah had a rough going. They took a break and Jer cheated, which is my book means it is over...for real for ever. But she takes him back and they struggle becuae there is no trust. But she decides to take everything and work hard. They put together a wedding only for Jer to discover his girlfriend and brother are in love and always have been. Things never seem to go according to plan!
What will happen to this trio?

The Summer I turned Pretty by: Jenny Han

Publication Date:
April 2010

Overview:

Some summers are just destined to be pretty

Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer -- they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one wonderful and terrible summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.

My thoughts:
Belly is a girl that loves a boy who seems to have no interest. And to beat all his mother is her mother's best friend. She spend her summers, every summer with his family at the beach. Every summer it's three boys, one girl and two mother's. They just relax and have fun no "men."
One boy loves her and admits it, but she can't return his love. The other boy loves her but won't admit her feelings.
Belly thinks and knows life is hard but when the boys' mother confesses her cancer is back and things are bleak it send everyone in a downward spiral. I would spend the time cherishing every moment, but they all fall apart.

It's not summer with out you

It's not Summer without you by: Jenny Han

Publication Date:
April 2011

Overview:
It used to be that Belly counted the days until summer, until she was back at Cousins Beach with Conrad and Jeremiah. But not this year. Not after Susannah got sick again and Conrad stopped caring. Everything that was right and good has fallen apart, leaving Belly wishing summer would never come. But when Jeremiah calls saying Conrad has disappeared, Belly knows what she must do to make things right again. And it can only happen back at the beach house, the three of them together, the way things used to be. If this summer really and truly is the last summer, it should end the way it started—at Cousins Beach.

My thoughts:
Belly had her heart  broken in a brief romance with Conrad, but is it really over? So she decided no more summers on the beach. Instead she tried to stay home and forget everything, but then Jeremiah calls and tells her Conrad is missing and begs for help, she knows she has to help even if it just for Jer and Susannah.
Jer and Belly share a kiss, which is overseen by Conrad, who still has feeling for Belly. Then he tells his brother a lie, that Belly is free from him. What happens through out this book is funny, charming and amazing....but most of all heart wrenching.

Breakable by: Tammara Webber

Publication Date:
May 2014

Overview:

As a child, Landon Lucas Maxfield believed his life was perfect and looked forward to a future filled with promise—until tragedy tore his family apart and made him doubt everything he ever believed.

All he wanted was to leave the past behind. When he met Jacqueline Wallace, his desire to be everything she needed came so easy…

As easy as it could be for a man who learned that the soul is breakable and that everything you hoped for could be ripped away in a heartbeat.

My thought:
Reading "Easy" was great and getting a guys thoughts and point of view in this books is amazing. But I hate when it is repetitive of things I read before...if it could simply say, that day in class when we first met" but instead it's the whole thing over but in his eyes even though it happened that same way in the girls point of view.
I love the flashback parts with Lucas, getting to know his life and how he has moved past it and become and better person.....it really is inspiring.
Lucas is so lovable.

Love Story by: Jennifer Echols

Publication Date:
 January 2011

Overview:

SHE’S WRITING ABOUT HIM. HE’S WRITING ABOUT HER. AND EVERYBODY IS READING BETWEEN THE LINES.

For Erin Blackwell, majoring in creative writing at the New York City college of her dreams is more than a chance to fulfill her ambitions—it’s her ticket away from the tragic memories that shadow her family’s racehorse farm in Kentucky. But when she refuses to major in business and take over the farm herself someday, her grandmother gives Erin’s college tuition and promised inheritance to their maddeningly handsome stable boy, Hunter Allen. Now Erin has to win an internship and work late nights at a local coffee shop to make her own dreams a reality. She should despise Hunter . . . so why does he sneak into her thoughts as the hero of her latest writing assignment?

Then, on the day she’s sharing that assignment with her class, Hunter walks in. He’s joining her class. And after he reads about himself in her story, her private fantasies about him must be painfully clear. She only hopes to persuade him not to reveal her secret to everyone else. But Hunter devises his own creative revenge, writing sexy stories that drive the whole class wild with curiosity and fill Erin’s heart with longing. Now she’s not just imagining what might have been. She’s writing a whole new ending for her romance with Hunter . . . except this story could come true.

My thoughts:
Erin lost everything and truth be told I feel bad for her, but really acting like a cow isn't the way. And especially when you actually love the stable boy! In my opinion tell him how you feel and let it all come out, every last drop of your feelings anger hatred and love.
Choosing your own path is the best laid plain for anyone and the route we all should take, but losing your family isn't worth some of the drama. I would simply lay down the lay and then if things don't as planned then leave.
Her writting is not getting the feedback she hoped for, so in my thoughts I would become an editor.

There are a few books I am finishing as well, so hang in there if yours isn't listed!

The One by: Kiera Cass

Publication Date:
May 2014

Overview:
The Selection changed America Singer's life in ways she never could have imagined. Since she entered the competition to become the next princess of Illéa, America has struggled with her feelings for her first love, Aspen—and her growing attraction to Prince Maxon. Now she's made her choice . . . and she's prepared to fight for the future she wants.

My thoughts:
I was so ready to read this, I was always wondering if Maxon would choose America or if America would leave and go home to be with Aspen. I don't hate Aspen as much as I have in the past. I know that everyone has a story, but I really didn't want them to be together.
I also wanted to know King Clarkson better, try and give him a chance because he was such a butt.
This one was a real page turner. I was so upset when it ended. I wanted a glimpse into the future for the trio. And let's be honest I wanted to know the future for more of the Selection girls as well.
I know that some of the rebels are no longer a threat and that soon the rest will no longer be an issue too.
The deaths are sad, but some are bittersweet as well.

The Hunter's Companion by: Lori Powell

Publication Date:
January 2014

Overview:
Witches and hunters. Blood and magic. Heartache and lust. Will history repeat itself?
Lora Smith's life changes forever one day deep in the English fens. Caught up in the Witch trials of 1645, her life ends tragically early, yet her legacy lives on.
Regan White is a 21st century Brighton girl who loves to shop, party, and shop some more. Forced to relocate to her aunt's crumbling old house in the fenland of West Norfolk, away from everything she's ever known, Regan's life takes a mysterious twist.
A box of old diaries tell of strange happenings, striking a chord with Regan's own recent unnerving experience in the lingering fog of the fens and drawing her deeper into the mystery. Destiny is a big word but it seems that Regan's is irrevocably entwined in this bewitching landscape.
How do the diaries, her band of new friends, and the captivating American Nate Hunter, all tie together? Will Regan find the link before it is too late, or will she share Lora's fate?

My thoughts:
In the beginning of this I was reading it at night with a flashlight, mistake! It was incredibly creepy one if those times when your sure someone is watching you or something! But it was also exciting and I couldn't stop I had to know more. The relationships that Regan has are extreme and yet normal. There is so much going on it really is fun to read, and you can't stop.
The flashback are usually something that would irritate me about a book, just due to the interruption to story line and the boring things that occur in the flashback, but this one was different. It gives you the glaces that you need to understand more and more of this characters story and life.
Really well done.

Five Corners: The Marked Ones by: Cathi Shaw

Publication Date:
May 2014

Overview:
Growing up in a sleepy village untouched by distant wars and political conflicts, it was easy for Thia, Mina and Kiara to forget such horrors existed in the Five Corners. That is until the dead child is found; a child that bears the same strange birthmark that all three sisters possess. A Mark their mother had always told them was unique to the girls. Kiara's suspicions grow as their Inn is soon overrun with outsiders from all walks of life. Strangers, soldiers and Elders who all seem to know more about what is happening than the girls do. After Mina barely survives an attack in the forest, the sisters are faced with a shattering secret their mother has kept from them for years. As danger closes in around them, the sisters are forced from their home and must put their trust in the hands of strangers. With more questions than answers, Kiara finds herself separated from everyone she loves and reliant on an Outlander who has spent too much time in army. She doesn't trust Caedmon but she needs him if she has any hope of being reunited with her sisters and learning what the Mark might mean.

My thoughts:
This is one of those books that you wonder what it's about and then reading through you think do I really want to read this. I read it and I liked it. The suspicion and the fear, overcoming obstacles and finding a new way in life is always exciting. Being marked isn't always what it seems, most of the time I think back to P.C. Cast series but then I realize I shouldn't compare things. These girls share this mark and don't understand what it is, or means. It seems that things go quickly in this story. One minute everything is fine then boom and then the story is done.
This is strong writing and the beginning of something new! The characters are really amazing and it makes you want to know more and more about each of them. And the mystery and intrigue is great too.
