Endless Summer by: Jennifer Echols

Publication Date:
April 2011

Overview:
Two irresistible boys. One unforgettable summer.

Lori can’t wait for her summer at the lake. She loves wakeboarding and hanging with her friends—including the two hotties next door. With the Vader brothers, she's always been just one of the guys. Now that she’s turning sixteen, she wants to be seen as one of the girls, especially in the eyes of Sean, the older brother. But that’s not going to happen—not if the younger brother, Adam, can help it.

Lori plans to make Sean jealous by spending time with Adam. Adam has plans of his own for Lori. As the air heats up, so does this love triangle. Will Lori’s romantic summer melt into one hot mess?

My rating:
Lori was rasied kinda like a tomboy. With her brother and the neighbor's three boys always there, no end of excitement as far as I can tell. She has always had a thing for Sean, mainly due to the lose of her mother, who told her he was a boy to hope for. Truth is it's an emotional attachment and not worth the crap that was spewed at her. Alex, her best friend for a lot of years is the one and I would go for him.
In an effort to look older she starts dressing more girlish and is trying everything to get to Sean, including getting Alex to date her.
Plan after plan and Alex and Lori get together for real, but family and mistakes separate them. Can they make it work? I think it's worth a try.

John Dreamer by: Elise Celine

Publication Date:
February 2014

Overview:
Andy wasn’t usually sure about much, but she was absolutely certain this was the weirdest day of her life as she stood stranded in the middle of a great white room with six strangers. Well, they were mostly strangers. She could have sworn she’d seen the guy with the green eyes before, and maybe that was why he kept staring at her. When a man calling himself the Guardian appeared and said they had come to make their deepest dreams come true, they embark on an adventure none of them ever imagined—where anything is possible—and the consequences of their actions would change them forever.

My thoughts:
This has a mix of characters and when you reach them you think that maybe they wouldn't fit together or within a book together, but it works. They are all unique and bring their own importance into this story. This whole story seems like a dream, which I guess I should have realized considering the title, but it such a great way to write this out and bring the tale to life.
And of course like any great story this girl has to work out real world issues. These characters have to work through their problems and make it count.
Everything about this is touching and exciting. I love the romantic aspects of this too. The author has done an amazing job and can't wait for more.

Titan's Magic: Body and Soul by: Jodi Lamm

Publication Date:
December 2013

Overview:
"Don't fool yourself. Fool everyone else, but never fool yourself."

When a young golem called Kaspar befriends a beautiful baker and her daughter, he wishes, for the first time in his life, to be more than just a counterfeit, wooden child. But such a simple wish comes at a high price, and Kaspar won't be the only one to pay. With the few who can stop him distracted by their own dreams, Kaspar is free to set in motion a naive and gruesome plan. He hasn't gone entirely unnoticed, though. He's a powerful weapon left alone and ungoverned, and he's already caught the eye of someone with an even more costly wish.

My thoughts:
This book is mainly zeroed in on Kaspar. This poor thing is needing a friend, who doesn't, but the author paints him in a light that makes you feel dreadfully sorry for him. AS everything goes things look grim and could be deadly, but what will really happen? I think if you read this you will be in for a surprise. This really seems like a great tale for younger teens. It has all the passion needed for teens but a tale that younger kids would love. A mix of magic and adventure makes this read a journey to behold.

The Vincent Brothers by: Abbi Glines

Publication Date:
December 2012

Overview:
Getting a boy to fall head-over-heels in love with you isn't easy. Especially when he’s been in love with your cousin for as long as you can remember.

Lana has lived her life in her cousin’s shadow. Ashton always made perfect grades, had tons of friends, and looks model-perfect. And she’s always had Sawyer Vincent—the only boy Lana’s ever wanted—wrapped around her finger. But now things are different. Lana has a chance to make Sawyer see her, and she’s taking it. If only he’d get over Ashton—because Lana is sick of second-best.

Sawyer’s heart is broken. He’s lost his best girl to his best friend. And then Lana comes to town. Ashton’s cousin has always been sweet and soft-spoken, but now she’s drop-dead gorgeous as well. Sawyer doesn't know if Lana can heal his broken heart, but spending time with her might at least make Ashton jealous.

What starts as a carefree fling becomes a lusty game of seduction. Sawyer and Lana may have different motives, but their scintillating hookups are the same kind of steamy. . . .

My thoughts:
Well little cousin Lana has grown up and is strutting around looking like a skank, in my opinion. But who can blame her. Dad cheated with a younger girl, mom freaks at the sound of a fart and what's left for this girl to do. So she must stand out and what does this girl want, Sawyer, sure he's her cousin leftovers but who can blame this girl. He looks great and she wants him now. Making out and yet being pushed aside, not cool.
I would have given Sawyer and huge punch in the face for treating me as second best, but truth is he's mad for Lana....just as she is mad for him.

All this drama and more involved with the Vincent Brothers, once raised as cousin and now realizing they are true brothers....even if it is just half brothers.

The Vincent Boys by: Abbi Glines

Publication Date:
October 2012

Overview:
There was something wicked about Beau that drew me to him. What was wrong with me? Why did I want to sin so badly?

Ashton is getting tired of being good, of impressing her parents and playing ideal girlfriend to Sawyer Vincent. Sawyer is perfect, a regular Prince Charming, but when he leaves town for the summer, it’s his cousin Beau who catches Ashton’s eye. Beau is the sexiest guy she’s ever seen, and even though he’s dangerous, Ashton is drawn to him.

Beau loves his cousin like a brother, so the last thing he wants to do is make a move on Sawyer’s girl. Ashton is off-limits, absolutely. That’s why he does his best to keep his distance, even though he’s been in love with her forever. When Ashton wants to rekindle their childhood friendship in Sawyer’s absence, Beau knows he should say no.

Ashton and Beau don’t want to hurt Sawyer. But the more they try to stay away from each other, the more intense their urges become. It’s getting way too hard to resist...

My thoughts:
Being the best of friends must be hard, but especially so when you grow up and fall for one! Truth is she dated the wrong one, but the right one was hard to read! I myself would have gone for the bad boy too. Beau is trouble and I have to say go get 'em girl.
But treating Sawyer the way she did makes her a grade A (insert B word). And I can't say that I approve of Sawyer letting things get out of hand at school, but I can't blame him either. I also think that Ashton could have stuck up for herself. Unleash that hidden tomboy girl and let it fly at all those hoes and other idiots at school, who think they know what is going done, but truthfully have no clue.
I really enjoyed this read. And spent the money to get the second one and read it just as quickly.

Panic by: Lauren Oliver

Publication Date:
March 2014

Overview:
Panic began as so many things do in Carp, a dead-end town of twelve thousand people in the middle of nowhere: because it was summer, and there was nothing else to do.
Heather never thought she would compete in Panic, a legendary game played by graduating seniors, where the stakes are high and the payoff is even higher. She'd never thought of herself as fearless, the kind of person who would fight to stand out. But when she finds something, and someone, to fight for, she will discover that she is braver than she ever thought.
Dodge has never been afraid of Panic. His secret will fuel him, and get him all the way through the game; he's sure of it. But what he doesn't know is that he's not the only one with a secret. Everyone has something to play for.
For Heather and Dodge, the game will bring new alliances, unexpected revelations, and the possibility of first love for each of them—and the knowledge that sometimes the very things we fear are those we need the most.
Already optioned by Universal Pictures in a major deal, this gritty, spellbinding novel captures both the raw energy of fear mixed with excitement as well as the aching need to find a place to belong.

My thoughts:
This was a new read for me. I haven't really read anything like this one. I actually thought it could be Dystopian, having never read the reviews or anything. My cousin bought this and gave it to me to read and review and so I thought it might be something that my followers would enjoy.
Panic is a game, one that can cause you serious bodily harm and/or death. Several people in the past have died and been injured. It isn't anything I would want to play, but when you have nothing else to do and your in need or money you jump at the chance I guess.
Heather and Natalie are best friends. They have come to Panic to watch Natalie play, but suddenly Heather is in the game too. But nothing changes that friendship. They both fight to survive and win, all the while cheering each other on.
Life isn't always as planned and little things happen to these players to send them reeling and wanting more or something different.
This game changes you and makes you different...that is if you come out alive.

Tidal by: Amanda Hocking

Publication Date:
June 2013

Overview:
Gemma and Harper Fisher are facing the fight of their lives.  Gemma has been cursed with extraordinary powers that have a terrifying dark side, but she’s finally found what she needs—a way to break the curse and become human again.  But finding the means to do it will be her greatest challenge yet.  And now Penn, Lexi and Thea—the gorgeous but deadly creatures who cursed her—are determined to kill her before she has a chance.  Making matters worse, Penn has her sights set on Daniel—the guy Harper loves—and Penn always gets what she wants.

As Gemma and Harper race to break the curse before it’s too late, they’re thrust deeper into a mythical world of immortal secrets.  They must delve into their enemies’ past to find the answers they need, even if it means being drawn deeper into their savagely beautiful world.  But one of the girls is not what she seems…and Gemma finds an unlikely ally as she struggles to save herself.  But will it be enough to break an ancient curse that no one has ever escaped alive?

My thoughts:
Gemma and Harper's lives are just turning more and more upside down! Daniel is being pursued by Penn, who wants him only because he is immune to her charms.  He agrees to something only to help the girls, but he may not be able to get out of it. And what if he can't refuse after.
Lexi is causing more trouble then she is worth and in the end is she worth having around. I would have Gemma before Lexi, but it is not my choice and in the end someone will no longer be with the group, but who?
Harper begins school and then she has a horrible feeling. One she can't shake and ends up making her self more and more upset by what has occurred. Will she stay in school after all that has happened.
