The Haunted by: Jessica Verday

Publication Date: August 2010

Synopsis: An impossible truth. An impossible love.

After a summer spent reclaiming her sanity and trying to forget the boy she fell in love with--the boy who must not exist, cannot exist, because she knows that he is dead--Abbey returns to Sleepy Hollow, ready to leave the ghosts of her past behind. She throws herself into her schoolwork, her perfume-making, and her friendship with Ben, her cute and funny lab partner, who just might be her ticket to getting over Caspian once and for all.
But Abbey can never get over Caspian, and Caspian has no choice but to return to her side, for Caspian is a Shade, and Abbey is his destiny. They are tied not only to each other, but also to the town of Sleepy Hollow, and to the famous legend that binds their fates--a legend whose dark truths they are only beginning to guess....

My thoughts: I was really excited to see how Abigail was after the first book. I mean her best friend was dead, 2 elderly friends she made were ghost and her new boyfriend was a ghost as well.
Turns out she went to her aunts for some mental help? And to get away from all the chaos that seemed to be everywhere in the first book.
When arriving back hoe she finds CAspian right where she left him, living in the cemetery....eewww! And she's still in love with him. They decide to give their love a chance and hang out more!
She think Ben was the "D" , his first name begins with a D, but he tells her it wasn't him that he had feelings for her but that they never dated. Even though he wanted to.
Abbey starts working for her uncle where she meets Vincent D. Who is the "D" she is looking for and he admits to killing her but it was a mistake. He was actually looking for Abbey. So Kristin's death was not meant to be.
After traveling with CAspian and Ben, to Caspian's hometown(where she was suppose to be looking at a college) they realize that Caspian and Abbey are a complete pair. But in order for them to be together Abbey must die!!!
I'm hoping for more to come soon. Only to tell me she won't die but there is a way to bring him back from the dead. And for vincent to die for the part he played in Kristin's death.

Linger by Maggie Stiefvater

Publication Date: July 2010

Synopsis: In Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other.  Now, in Linger, they must fight to be together. For Grace, this means defying her parents and keeping a very dangerous secret about her own well-being. For Sam, this means grappling with his werewolf past . . . and figuring out a way to survive into the future. Add into the mix a new wolf named Cole, whose own past has the potential to destroy the whole pack.  And Isabelle, who already lost her brother to the wolves . . . and is nonetheless drawn to Cole.

At turns harrowing and euphoric, Linger is a spellbinding love story that explores both sides of love -- the light and the dark, the warm and the cold -- in a way you will never forget.

My thoughts: I found this book to be gut wrenching...literally.
AS the book begins we have a new wolf to deal with...or should I say for Isabel to deal with, and she does a fabulous job...I must say, most would freak. His Name is Cole and he is a rockstar who is running away from his past.
WE are still dealing with missing wolves, new wolves and dead wolves....eeeeewww.
SAm is having a hard time dealing with not only being human permanently but also missing Beck, his father figure.
Cole and Isabel have this comedic romance thing going on, which Ms. Maggie could have another great romance to write about there, if she wanted. I do hope there is more of them in the next book.
Grace id sick, I mean really sick. The wolf that she was meant to be is killing her, because she never was one.
Her parents end up catching her and SAm in the Sack one night after having a bad dream and screaming the house down...uh oh. Then she gets ground from him for like life or something and then he gets really pissed off and decides to run away to be with him.
Which works of course until she starts getting really sick and needs a hospital.
Where the guys figure out what she needs and do it...but that leaves Sam alone!
I can't wait to read the next book.....I need to know what will become of these lovestruck kids......

Ghost Huntress by Marley Gibson

Publication Date: November 2010

Synopsis: The first in a trilogy. Get out your tape recorders, crystals, and extra batteries—you’re about to go where our world meets the spirit world.

Psychic Kids, Paranormal State, Haunting Evidence—these and countless other television shows are making believers out of millions of people: Ghosts exist, and they’re living right beside us. For centuries, individuals have been trying to prove the existence of ghosts. But without hard evidence, it’s been difficult to make the case. But now as science and technology have progressed, ghost hunters have been able to use scientific means, along with more traditional psychic tools, to make their case. Photographs, video recordings, and sound recordings are all producing some amazing results.
In this new series, Ghost Huntress, meet Kendall Moorehead, a seemingly typical teen. When her family moves from Chicago to the small historical town of Radisson, Georgia, her psychic abilities awaken. She’s hearing, feeling, and seeing things that seem unbelievable at first, but with the help of the town psychic, Kendall is able to come to terms with her newly emerging gift. So, together with her new BFF, Celia, Kendall forms a ghost hunting team. They’ve got all the latest technology. They’ve got Kendall for their psychic. Now they’re going to clean up Radisson of its less savory spirits.
The story is fiction. The science is real. Welcome to a new reality.

My thoughts: This story is about Ghost Hunting...something new to most people, but not me. I've been a fan of the show for years (check out the syfy channel). And this author even checked with them before she wrote her story. Awesome!
Kendall moves from a big town to a little town...she has trouble sleeping and like most teenagers is afraid of not finding any friends. Not a problem from her.
Not only does she find friends but she learns that she is a sensitive which means she can feel when a paranormal spirit is near by. She and her new friends put together a ghost huntress team...made up of four girls and go hunting.
The spirit they hunt this time is that of a land owner who wants his land to go to his slave. only his slave is dead, but they do find the person it should go to and with his help they are going to honor the landowner....the girls get him to move on to his final resting place.....saving the day or night as most would say and help Kendall's dad keep working in his office without getting hurt again.
Kendall finds love in her friends brother...after a falling out everyone gets back on board with things and it all works out in the end....I can't wait until I read the next installment
