Unravel Me by: Tahereh Mafi

Publication Date: February 2013

Overview:
tick tick tick tick tick it's almost time for war.
Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.
She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.
Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

My thoughts: Juliette feels trapped and I don't blame her. Because she is forced to live in an underground world of people with special powers. I can tell you that living underground to anyone would be awful. But with people who have powers and can only use them to practice and protect, they have to have bad days and me being bi-polar knows that my bad days are really bad. Screaming and much more can be found. She wants to be with Adam but dealing with things that have happened doesn't make it easy. Adam is trying to find his powers but they don't know what to do about their relationship.
But together they must face Warner an the possibilites that he is Adam's family. And the known fact that he has powers himself. War Ensues the area, causalties are a must.

Divergent by: Veronica Roth

Publication Date: February 2012

Overview: In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles alongside her fellow initiates to live out the choice they have made. Together they must undergo extreme physical tests of endurance and intense psychological simulations, some with devastating consequences. As initiation transforms them all, Tris must determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes exasperating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers unrest and growing conflict that threaten to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her.

My thoughts: Fraction or fractionless, I'm trying to decide which is worse. I think I am happy with Beatrice's choice. Really I mean she could have gone any where else and never found love and never known the truth.
Tris was in Abnegation-selfless and went to Dauntless - brave. I can't blame her. On her 16 th birthday she got to choose which way she wanted to go and she chose. Surprising everyone I believe. The training was harsh and made her a stronger and more hateful (yes hateful) person.
She had to leave her family behind and her brother who got to chose the dame day as her left their family s well. I'm sure as a parent your would be heart broken but in truth most families don't care. They have hate after for those who abandon their family.
Fights and war are the only way to survive. When war tears everyone aprt it's up to Dauntless to save them all.

The Elite by: Kiera Cass

Publication Date: April 2013

Overview: In America Singer's world, a bride is chosen for the prince through an elaborate televised competition. In the second book of the Selection series, America is one of only six girls left in the running. But is it Prince Maxon—and life as the queen—she wants? Or is it Aspen, her first love?

My thoughts: Maxon choice's are lowering, the girls are fighting and war is upon the kingdom.
The girls families visit and you get to see them all on their best behavior. The families get to interact with Maxon and his family and America's family believe he loves her and they know their daughter loves him  Now will they be together.
There are several things that occur in this book that make me shake my head, the ring leader is someone we all know and hate! America goes over board on a rampage and almost get throw out. Maxon is hurt by her and by his father, no real surprise there.
If the Prince doesn't learn to stand up for himself more often he could end up with someone he doesn't love and can't love. He also will never be a great ruler.

Under the Never Sky by: Veronica Rossi

Publication Date: December 2012

Overview: In a world of danger
an unlikely alliance
breathtaking adventure
and unforgettable romance

My thoughts: Aria live in a world like no other. Perry lives in the real world, where humans strive to survive. They fight to the death and die before they should.
I love this story, it's heartbreaking and wrong on so many levels. But the love these two obviously have for each other is what really draws you in. I hate that it ends with them apart but hopefully they will find one another.
Cannibals and other creatures make their journey back to her world dangerous and once she gets there, if she gets there, will she want to stay?
They are trying to get to her mother and his nephew who was taken by her world when they dropped her off they went after him and now they want to save him and send her back.
