Entwined by: Heather DIxon

Publication Date: March 2011

Overview: Azalea is trapped. Just when she should feel that everything is before her . . . beautiful gowns, dashing suitors, balls filled with dancing . . . it's taken away. All of it.
The Keeper understands. He's trapped, too, held for centuries within the walls of the palace. And so he extends an invitation.
Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters may step through the enchanted passage in their room to dance in his silver forest.
But there is a cost.
The Keeper likes to keep things.
Azalea may not realize how tangled she is in his web until it is too late.

My thoughts: I have to say that I really liked this book. I almost hated that it had to end. I wanted it to go on forever....maybe she could write about the other girls...I know I would love it.
This story reminds me of The Enchanted Castle from Beauty and the Beast! Most of their home is controlled by old magic and it is powerful and it takes over everything.
I also enjoyed that the princess' names were from A-L and I am sure they would have kept going, which is even neater.
Azalea is the main girl and has a lot to deal with. She is the eldest and is dealing with her father who is non- active in their lives and her mother dies and she is left to take care of the girls. I feel really bad for her and every time a new character dome in to play I love that because it gives the girls someone else to entertain them to give big sis a break.
And I have to say I happy with the guy she ends up with!

My rating 5 stars

Turned at Dark: A Bonus Shadow Falls Short Story by: C.C. Hunter

Publication Date: March 2011

Overview: Turned at dark A Bonus Shadow Falls Short Story
Independent and strong-willed Della Tsang did not believe in ghosts, until she sees her dead cousin in a dark alley. She did not believe in vampires, until she turns into one. Should she follow her vampire cousin’s lead and walk away from everything she knows, or join Shadow Falls, a camp for special teens.
Don’t miss the first book in the Shadow Falls series, Born at Midnight, on sale March 2011.

My thoughts: So this short story is just to let you know how this young lady ended up going to a camp for FREAKS as they call them. From crazy family drama to seeing Ghost and ending up on a bus full of weird looking people this book makes me want to read the whole series....

My rating: 4 stars

Dream Dark by: Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Publication Date: August 2011

Overview: When Link joined his best friend, Ethan Wate, on a quest through a mysterious network of underground passageways endlessly crisscrossing the South, he knew the journey would be dangerous. But returning home to Gatlin, South Carolina was just the beginning...

Wounded during a climactic battle, Link discovers that tending his injuries won't be as simple as visiting a doctor and that healing his arm should be the least of his worries. For being bitten by a Supernatural does more than break the skin -- it changes a person, inside and out, turning Link into someone more and more like the dark creature who injured him.

My thoughts: This has to be one of the best series of late. I really enjoy all the characters but more recently I have found myself drawn to Link and I am so glad this book focuses on him. He is given a test by Macon and he has to face weird things.....Does he pass the test is the question?

My rating: 3 stars
