Bad Blood by: Mari Mancusi

Publication Date: January 2010

Overview: Sunny McDonald is in the ultimate forbidden relationship. Her boyfriend Magnus is a vampire, and the leader of the Blood Coven. And when the Coven decides that Magnus needs a mate to be his co-ruler, Sunny's humanity puts her out of the running. The Coven's chosen candidate is Jane Johnson, a magna cum laude graduate of Oxford University who just happens to look like a vampiric supermodel.
Sunny is suspicious of a Rhodes Scholar who can't answer the most basic poli-sci questions, but Magnus brushes it off as petty jealousy. Still, when the Blood Coven goes to Las Vegas for a vampire convention, Sunny and her twin sister Rayne secretly tag along. And Sunny's not going home before she learns the truth about Jane. Because not everything stays in Vegas-especially bad blood.

My thoughts: Sunny was much in love and thought life would never be bad again....boy was she wrong.
Sasha, playing the role of her twin Jane, comes in as Magnus' assigned blood mate.
Sunny knows something isn't right with Jane. But truthfully no one would believe her, so she set out on her own to find out what is really going on.
With the help of stormy, her long undiscovered sister, and Jayden they uncover the real facts and reveal it to Magnus.

Girls that Growl by: Mari Mancusi

Publication Date: October 2007

OverviewThird in Mancusi's hip, sassy vampire series, featuring the heroine of Stake That!
She's a vampire. She's also a vampire slayer. (It's a long story.) And now Rayne McDonald, Goth girl, has to carry out her most deviant mission yet: trying out for the cheerleading squad.
Rayne already has enough on her plate: her twin keeps whining about whether or not to go all the way; her mom's boyfriend is moving in; and her man, Jareth, who's now allowed out in the sun, has turned from a dark, brooding hottie vamp into a surfer dude.
But this vampire slayer is still on the clock, and she has a new assignment. A member of the football team has disappeared-and her bosses at Slayer Inc. think the cheerleaders had something to do with it. Now they want her to infiltrate the squad and get the dirt. But first, she'll need an extreme prep makeover. If only they'd let her wear fishnets under that revolting uniform.

My thoughts:
I am addicted to this series. I got them from the library and I can't stop.....pick them up......really!!!
Rayne is having a rough time being a vampire. Being a blood mate should be easy, but it's not. But when you are dealing with your mom dating a new guy and your sister dating the king vampire, and her possible sex life, plus school. Things can kind build up. I don't blame Rayne for having problems, but this girl needs to get a handle on it.
Cheerleaders are turning into werewolves and Ryane needs to figure out how to stop it and find the missing boys, but did they girls eat them? Ewe!
No wonder everything is so rough for Rayne and she crashes her car and get kidnapped by an evil werewolf.
So glad she has Jareth to come to the rescue.

Stake That by: Mari Mancusi

Publication Date: December 2006

Overview: A fresh voice and fresh blood - it adds up to one very sassy vampire series...
Sisters. They'll swipe your clothes, your boyfriends, your destiny. But it wasn't exactly Rayne's twin Sunny's fault. Magnus, a vamp hottie and coven leader, mistook Sunny for Rayne last month and bit her instead. Now they're doing the inter-species dating thing.
Turns out that for every generation, there's a Vampire Slayer - and this time around, it just happens to be Rayne MacDonald. Her first mission: infiltrate a seedy vamp bar downtown and expose its vampire owner for purposely spreading a blood disease he created himself - a task almost harder than passing trig.
After going it alone once, Rayne realizes she needs help. So Magnus sends his sexy Goth buddy Jareth to go undercover with her. And, frankly, Rayne wouldn't mind going under the covers with him. Maybe fate doesn't bite after all...

My thoughts: Rayne....the other half of Sunny. She wants to be a vampire so bad, but turns out she's a slayer.
Working with a vampire to uncover the wrong doings of Maverick.
Turns out vamps are getting sick and donors are dying.
Jareth and Rayne can't stand each other at first and set out together to figure out what is going on. They fall for each other along with finding out that Maverick is poisoning the donors.
They find a sample of the poison and try to get it back to the coven but Rayne gets infected and will die. Jareth can't live without her, surprise......I love these too.

With her own relationship on the line, Violet doesn't realize that the serial killer is looking to add to his collection and that she may have caught his eye. Lost in Time by: Melissa de la Cruz

Publication Date: September 2011

Overview: The stakes have never been higher for the young Blue Bloods of Manhattan. After their brief yet beautiful bonding ceremony in Italy, Schuyler Van Alen and Jack Force depart for Egypt, desperate to find the elusive Gate of Promise before Jack must face his twin, Mimi, for a blood trial. A blood trial that only one of them can survive. But everything Schuyler thought she knew about the gate turns out to be a lie, and they soon find themselves ensnared in a deadly battle against the demon-born. Schuyler and Jack take up arms, only to realize that there is a much graver threat simmering in the Kingdom of the Dead.
Meanwhile, determined to save the only vampire she still loves, Mimi has followed Kingsley Martin into Hell. With the help of her new human Conduit, Oliver Hazard-Perry, Mimi makes a bargain with the Queen of the Dead that she may soon regret. When the time comes to choose between love and revenge, both Mimi and Oliver will learn the true meaning of sacrifice.
Confronted by danger, betrayal, and loss at every turn, the Blue Bloods must find the will to fight—and love—another day.

My thoughts: I was really excited for this one beaucse I am really into Sky and Jack. I don't have any cares about the otheres. I mean it is nice to know where Mimi is with Oliver, so to know what she is capable of.
I love that she is only concerned for herself for most of the book. Finding Kingsley and saving him. I think that is dumb but for one I am glad that she isn't chasing Jack.
I am so glad that Sky is not pregnant, as cool as that would be I just don't think right now is the time to have a baby.
I know Jack thinks she has the same thing her mother had, which is causing her to be sick, but I really hope it's not. I don't think anything good will come of it.
When Jack has to face Mimi, I love it he doesn't fight back....really and truly.

Boys That Bite by: Mari Mancusi

Publication Date: April 2006

Overview: Okay, so technically she can’t because I’m immortal. Well, not yet. See, due to the worst case of mistaken identity with my dark-side-loving twin sister at a Goth club called Club Fang, Magnus, a vampire hottie, went for my innocent neck instead of hers. Now if I don’t reverse it in time, Magnus will be my blood mate forever and I’m doomed to be a blood-gulping, pasty, daylight-hating vampire. Believe me, it seriously bites.
After the unfortunate slaying of the vampire leader, it’s up to me, my sister, and Magnus to find the one thing that can solve my problem—the Holy Grail. No joke. I seriously hope I can get out of this in time, because somehow, I scored the hottest prom date in my school, the mouth-watering Jake Wilder. And I do not want to be a vampire for the prom—let alone the rest of eternity...

My thoughts: Sunny gets bitten because they think she's her twin. She doesn't want to be a vampire, so she set out with her blood mate to find the Holy Grail and the cure. In the adventure she is in love with Magnus and is fighting her choice to stay human or let the change occur. Sometimes a girls has to go with her heart and that is what i thought she would do.
In the end they get the cure and Magnus chooses for her and she becomes human, against her wishes.
But she keeps the guy.

Taken by Storm by: Jenifer Lynn Barnes

Publication Date: April 2012

Overview: In the eye of a storm stands Bryn, the alpha of the Cedar Ridge werewolf pack. She is young. Female. Human. Physically weaker than any werewolf, she could never survive a battle with another alpha, the strongest, fiercest, and canniest of his pack.
Yet she cannot refuse a summons from the werewolf Senate. A rogue werewolf is attacking humans. The risk of exposure threatens to destroy pack life, and the center of the crisis is Cedar Ridge territory—her own lands.
Bryn has no choice but to attend the meeting, a gathering of the most powerful werewolves on the continent.  The subject is the rogue wolf, but Bryn knows the other packs want what she has. Her territory. Her females. Her pack.
 They want her death.
Werewolf law prevents the other alphas from making a direct attack. It also prevents her former alpha, the mysterious and powerful Callum, from coming to her aid. But it doesn’t prevent Bryn from knowing what she wants. To keep her lands. To protect her pack.

My thoughts: Bryn is dealing with the loss of Maddie, although she's not dead, who left to deal with the loss of Lucas. The whole thing could have been avoided I think but overall I guess something was bound to happen this way.
Bryn then goes to a meeting of the Senate and finds out that there is a rogue wolf terrorizing it's way around. She believe it to be Maddie and fears for her friend.
She and some of her pack set out to find Maddie and Save her...Along they way Bryn realizes that Maddie is pregnant and she's scared. They also find out Maddie isn't killing, it's a ghost. And that is trippy...LOL!
In the end Shay gets the baby and so Maddie chooses to go with him. Bryn figures out a plan, one that causes Shay to die and her to lose her best friend.
